Great rooms but no parking and of the limited parking it's 14 pounds per night and if you park on street be gone for 8am as wardens target it at 8am

Perfect spot to stay in Dundee, close to the main attractions, parking on-site for a small overnight fee. I loved the details in the hotel that tied it to the building’s history, but it’s still a very modern hotel. The bar menu is great for dinner in the evening, and breakfast offers a nice selection at the buffet too.

Poor service from hotel & reception staff.
We were unable to travel to the hotel due to red weather warning. When we advised the hotel & booking.com neither gave us the option of a refund which I understand ran out the day before at 4pm however given the circumstances I would have expected some assistance and empathy.
The hotel offered a change of date but only if we told them that day and unfortunately we didn’t have another date that we could stay yet therefore over £120 was wasted even with police, met office and government advising not to travel.
The reception team, although friendly, were very unhelpful and did not take into consideration the red weather warning and threat to life to travel.
As a business traveller and someone who stays and hosts conferences a lot this was an experience that has meant that Hotel Indigo had lost a lot of business from a large corporate account that we hold with IHG and instead we will be using the Apex moving forward.
I cannot recommend this hotel due to their lack of empathy and as such will be contacting IHG to advise of this and advise my events team to move our business relationship to the Apex where they have always been accommodating to last minute requests.

I had an incredible stay at Hotel Indigo Dundee! This hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a welcoming ambiance and a team of exceptionally attentive staff who went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. The restaurant facilities are top-notch, with a menu full of local flavors, and the bar is fully stocked with a fantastic selection of local whiskey and beers, which truly enhances the experience. The restaurant staff are attentive and impressively knowledgeable about local delicacies and whiskey, offering great recommendations that added a special touch to my stay.
I stayed in one of the premium rooms, specifically a junior suite, and it was well worth it. The room was spacious, with an amazing view during the day, and the bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower, which was a lovely touch of luxury. If you’re planning a trip to Dundee, I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great location, not too far from the centre, buses out the back of the hotel. Reasonably priced lovely comfortable rooms and the staff were wonderful, very helpful and attentive to customers needs. Nice buffet breakfast set us up for the day.

This is a cool, modern hotel located near the centre of Dundee. The building is an old mill, with the renovation retaining many original features and recognising the buildings and Dundees' industrial heritage.
Rooms were large, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. There were nice touches such as a Beano comic, Irn Bru and Tunnocks biscuits.
There is a spacious and comfortable reception, lounge, and bar area. The bar is good, with a wide range of beer, wine, cocktails, whisky and gins. Breakfast was ok, not the best I've had, but there is a good and well presented selection of options. Staff were all friendly and attentative.

An absolutely wonderful hotel with great staff. If I had to give any feedback, then it would be that the vegetarian menu is a bit limited.

Has this hotel lost its way?
Usually this hotel is good (stayed 5 or 6 times before). Not this time.
Housekeeping serviced my room by emptying my bin and making my bed. That was it! No replacement of coffee/tea, no wiping down surfaces, no taking away of dirty cups and glasses. She said ‘that’s normal, but I’ll take them away if you want me to?’
I then spoke with reception about my room phone not working - three times - they did nothing.
Food: Half their menu is pizza, but they had no pizzas when I ordered one.
Their bar has stools along its entire front. If every stool is occupied, you can’t get to the bar to order.
Staff have loud walk-and-talk meetings in the reception area, clearly not caring that their conversations can be overheard.

I had a lovely two night stay at this hotel. My junior suite was well appointed and had everything I needed. It was very comfortable and the fridge was replenished with water. I think they put on a lovely breakfast spread and the service was attentive and professional. I had a serious leak in my room which would have been obvious to the staff because there were watermarks above the window and when it rained, water came into the room a lot and splashed on my belongings. I do not think the suite I was in should be rented out until they fix the leak. They should not have charged full room rate for it. Other than that, if I ever visit Dundee again, which I most likely will not, I would stay at that hotel again.

Over all just okay, pillows are horrible. Only hangers are in the wardrobe, no place to hang your jacket on. It does have a fridge and a good power shower. Staff are amazing and helpful, greeting you every time in and out.

Feels luxurious, rooms lovely, decorated nicely and the fridge was great. Some of the throw pillows on the bed had minor marks on them so unsure how often they are cleaned, but otherwise cleaned well. Had a nice stay and would stay again, although I didn't realise I had to pay £50 deposit on the day which took a while to go back into my bank which was annoying and not explained very well by staff.

Hotel Indigo is a unique blend of historical charm and modern luxury, nestled in the heart of Dundee’s rich industrial past. Housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century textile mill, the hotel reflects the city’s heritage with its bold design, featuring bare-brick walls and hardwood timber floors. Located near Dundee’s city centre and waterfront, it offers easy access to attractions like the V&A Dundee and Discovery Point. Guests can enjoy Scottish cuisine at the Daisy Tasker restaurant, unwind with a drink at the Eighteen22 bar, and relax in rooms that combine contemporary comforts with historical touches.
I stayed over in one of their Junior Suites, the Tay Bridge.
The Junior Suites offer a spacious and stylish retreat, perfect for those seeking a blend of comfort and elegance. The suite features a king-sized bed with plush linens, a separate seating area with contemporary furnishings, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The decor combines modern design elements with nods to Dundee’s industrial heritage, including exposed brick walls and unique artwork. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a luxurious bathroom with a rainfall shower and premium toiletries.
Additional touches include a gorgeous red telephone for internal and external calls, treats like shortbread and Tunnocks Caramel Wafers in the fridge, hairdryer, a copy of the Beano comic, a safe and, ironing board and iron.
I was thoroughly impressed by the room’s modern attention to detail. Guest comfort and convenience are clearly prioritised, with USB ports and plugs conveniently placed on either side of the bed. The TV is mounted on a swivel arm, allowing you to watch from either the bed or the seating area. The door lock features both a chain and an additional push button for extra security. Plus, the shower taps are thoughtfully positioned away from the shower head, so you can avoid the awkward dance of turning them on before stepping in.
The bathroom is incredibly inviting, featuring a large tub and a rainfall shower, making it hard to decide which to use first. The room itself is spacious and filled with natural light, complemented by big, fluffy white towels and luxurious toiletries. The water pressure is excellent, creating a perfect environment to either start your day or unwind after a long one.
Daisy Tasker, located within the hotel, is a charming Scottish bistro that pays homage to its namesake, a beloved mill worker known for organising social activities for her fellow weavers. The restaurant celebrates Scotland’s rich culinary heritage by featuring locally sourced ingredients and traditional dishes with a modern twist. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining experiences, from a hearty Scottish breakfast to a delightful Sunday lunch. The warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with a menu that highlights the best of local produce, makes for a wonderful dining experience.
The staff at this establishment are exceptional in every way. From the meticulous house-keeping team to the welcoming receptionists, and from the attentive bar staff to the knowledgeable restaurant servers, everyone goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. Their friendliness and expertise shine through in every interaction, making guests feel truly valued. No request is too much trouble for them, as they are always ready to assist with a smile. Their dedication to providing top-notch service is evident, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all who visit.

Nice big double room and central location. Not so happy about the surprise charges! £50 mandatory taken off your account on booking in case there are any other charges to your room. Given that I'd paid in full prior to arriving and they had my card details I felt this was totally unnecessary. Additionally £13.50 per night for car parking whether you got a parking bay or not in their miniscule car park. We stayed 3 nights which amounted to a fair bit. Add to that the continued driving around in a tight space hoping someone would move to get a space every time we went in or out was a complete farce. I'd only use this hotel again if I had no other option.

Overall, it was pretty good. Unfortunately, when we first got to the reception desk, we were asked to pay for the room, which we had already paid for . When l said l wasn't paying again she apologised and said she would follow it up. Finally it was sorted. Room was very good overall, although we couldn't completely close the window in the room

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Indigo in Dundee and we had a lovely time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed but really nice and contemporary but they have structurally kept many of the buildings original features which were very cool. The room we stayed in had two queen sized beds which when I first saw I thought that's gonna be a bit small for 2 more or less adults in each but turned out to be fine. The bathroom in the room was large with a huge shower. There was also a fridge in the room which was very handy. Great view of the Tay from our room as well. The room had air conditioning which was really effective and the corridors were very quiet. We never heard of any of the other guests. The only slightly negative thing I have to say about the room is that the pillows were not so comfortable and the duvet was maybe a little bit heavy. But this didn't seem to bother me that much on our second night. The hotel has a gym which we found useful.
The breakfast was really good. Everything needed for a cooked full Scottish breakfast or a continental. The restaurant was really nice but we didn't actually eat there for lunch or dinner so I can't comment on the food.
The hotel was in a great location of Dundee city centre. It is really close to the Olympia leisure centre. However, there isn't much parking and it costs £13.50 per night for the privilege of parking close to the hotel. But there is no guarantee of a space. There is a small council pay to park car park just down the road from the hotel, and of course the multi storey carpark that is attached to the leisure centre.
All in all we had a lovely stay at this hotel and would enjoy staying there again.
